I am your candidate for Ward 4 Councillor in the City of Vaughan. For over 25 years Vaughan has been home for me, my family, my friends and my business.
Born June 28th, 1953 in Toronto, I attended Sir Sanford Fleming Secondary School, Seneca College and the University of Toronto where I studied politics and history.
My wife, Niki Giannantonio Weinberg and I have been married for 23 years and each have one son, Michael Weinberg and James Carnevale.
I am the proud owner/operator of an established 25 year Vaughan-based company called Styles Q. Corporate Imaging. My business involves facilitating the marketing and promotional needs for small to mid-size companies.
My working career began at Air Canada for 14 years allowing me the opportunity to travel and experience the world. I also had many successful years in the entertainment industry, owning and operating several venues. I later owned and operated InStyle Jeanswear located in York University for 7 years.
My interests include sports, travel and of course politics. I have, like many of my fellow Vaughan neighbours, a passion for motorcycles. For several years I have organized numerous motorcycle events to raise money for many different causes. Our first event was the Ride to End Diabetes (RED) for the Canadian Diabetes Association, which raised over $50,000 in just one year.
Subsequent rides focused on raising funds for the new Mackenzie Vaughan Hospital, now known as the Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital. To date, in excess of $50,000 has been raised, and we are so proud of our Appreciation Plaque which is hanging in the Hospitals foyer.
I am currently knocking on doors to ask what key issues are affecting you and your family in Ward 4, and in Vaughan.
Please let me know how I can gain your support!
Feel free to take the Ward 4 Survey to let me know what’s important to you. ( It’s anonymous)
Some of the key issues with I share and have been expressed to me so far are:
On October Oct 24th I will be seeking your support in representing Ward 4, one in which I live, walk the streets and where my neighbours have direct access to me on a day to day basis.
